"Memories of an Island" (kenangan akan sebuah pulau) merupakan pertunjukan tari kontemporer dari Itali. Dalam 75 menit, lima perempuan menceritakan sejarah Sisilia - dari kedatangan Bangsa Moor hingga periode dimana terjadi migrasi besar-besaran ke Amerika - melalui tarian. Perempuan dalam cerita ini menginterpretasikan perubahan-perubahan penting dalam bidang sosial, budaya dan sejarah perikehidupan Sisilia. Pertunjukan ini bertujuan untuk memberi gambaran tentang kultur Sisilia, semisal dialek dan musik.

"Memories of an Island" is a performance of contemporary dance, in one frame, which takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. Five beautiful and austere women tell the history of Sicily, from the arrival of the Moors to the period of the mass migration towards the American continent. These women are interpreters and victims of important social, cultural and historical changes in the Sicilian life. The performance aims to depict the traditional elements of Sicilian culture, such as the dialect, the sounds and the music.

Balet Sumber Cipta yang dipimpin Farida Oetoyo akan kembali bekerja sama dengan Introdans Educatie, departemen pendidikan tari kelompok Introdans dari Belanda, dalam pentas tari berjudul "Different Dimensions - Six Variations On an Introdans Theme" pada tanggal 17 dan 18 Februari 2007 mendatang di Gedung Kesenian Jakarta.

Tim pengajar Introdans Educatie yang terdiri atas Claire Maas, Vincent Wolf dan Adriaan Luteijn sebagai Koordinator Artistik akan melatih enam puluh (60) penari pilihan Balet Sumber Cipta untuk menampilkan 6 nomor tari dengan keragaman cerita, musik, desain kostum serta set panggung.

"Different Dimensions" terdiri atas 4 nomor tari yang diilhami oleh repertoire unik khas Introdans, satu nomor tari yang dibuat khusus untuk penari Balet Sumber Cipta, serta satu nomor duet yang akan dipentaskan sesuai dengan koreografi aslinya.

Sumber Cipta Ballet incorporation with Introdans Educatie, Netherlands proudly presents "Different Dimensions- Six Variations on an Introdans Theme" on February 17 and February 18,2007 at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta .

In this special dance performance, the audience will experience dance works made by the three workshop instructors and choreographers (Claire Maas, Adriaan Luteijn,Vincent Wolf) in a lovely program full of surprises and in the Introdans style : a mix of classical, modern and contemporary technique. Sixty trained dancers of Sumber Cipta Ballet will present six variations : four pieces are inspired on succesful choreographies from the unique repertoire of Introdans, one piece is made especially for the Sumber Cipta dancers/teachers, and one duet is actual repertoire from the Introdans company, now danced by Indonesian dancers.
